Ingredients

  • Turkey breast (3-4 lbs)
  • Apple cider (2 cups)
  • Butter (4 tbsp)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp)
  • Dijon mustard (1 tbsp)
  • Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
  • Cinnamon (1/2 tsp)
  • Cloves (1/4 tsp, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat the turkey breast dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat and sear the turkey on all sides until golden brown.
  3. Transfer the turkey to a roasting pan and pour 1 cup of apple cider into the pan.
  4. For the glaze, combine the remaining apple cider, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, garlic, cinnamon, and optional cloves in a saucepan. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Brush the glaze onto the turkey and roast while basting every 15 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  6. Let rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving with fresh herbs or sliced apples.
