  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup fruit juice or broth (as bourbon alternative)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces toffee chips
  • 1/2 cup pecan pieces (chopped small)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in melted butter, fruit juice (or broth), egg, and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients until combined; fold in toffee chips and pecans.
  5. Chill dough for at least two hours before scooping onto prepared sheets.
  6. Bake for about 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
