Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak tips
  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the steak tips with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear the steak until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Set aside.
  2. Cook rigatoni in salted water until al dente (9-11 minutes). Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning as desired.
  5. Toss cooked rigatoni into the sauce and gradually add reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached. Fold in the steak tips gently.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and cracked black pepper.
