  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tube (8-count) crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs (optional for added crunch)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter until creamy.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Lightly flatten each triangle.
  4. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Fold over edges and pinch to seal.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, then gradually add milk and heavy cream until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese along with seasonings.
