  • 2 cups (4 sticks / 454 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
  3. Pour the hot mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and let them soften for 1-2 minutes before spreading evenly.
  5. Add finely chopped pecans on top of the melted chocolate and gently press down.
  6. Allow to cool at room temperature for about an hour until set. Break into pieces and enjoy!
