  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup crispy cooked Turkey Bacon, crumbled
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add diced onion and sauté until soft. Stir in minced garlic and then add marinara sauce, crumbled turkey bacon, Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and whisk in flour for 1–2 minutes. Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and garlic powder; season with salt and pepper before removing from heat.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, béchamel sauce, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese repeatedly until all ingredients are used. Finish with an additional layer of cheese on top.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until golden. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
