  5. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and melted butter; spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Arrange pineapple pieces and halved cherries over the brown sugar mixture.
  7. Scoop cookie dough onto the fruit layer, leaving space between each scoop.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
