  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons whole milk as needed for consistency
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by combining lukewarm milk and yeast in a bowl; let sit until frothy.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture, softened butter, egg, and vanilla; mix until a dough forms.

  4. Prepare the cheesecake filling by blending cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, flour, and sour cream until smooth.
  5. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter then cheesecake filling evenly on top.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over the filling before rolling tightly into a log.
  7. Cut into rolls and place them in a greased dish; allow to rise again for about 30–45 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly before drizzling with icing made from powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and milk.
