  • 2 cups celery (1/4 inch diced)
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary (chopped finely)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F. Tear or cut the bread into bite-sized pieces and bake on a dry pan for about an hour until toasted.
  2. While the bread is toasting, chop the onion and celery.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the onions and celery for about 7-10 minutes until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the toasted bread pieces with sautéed vegetables and herbs.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together chicken broth and eggs; pour over the bread mixture. Mix gently until absorbed but not soggy.
  6. Grease a baking dish with softened butter, transfer stuffing into the dish, cover with foil, and bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 25-35 minutes until golden brown.
