  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. Evenly layer the pecan halves in the bottom of the crust.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the filling over the pecans.
  5. Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream in short intervals in the microwave until smooth; drizzle over the filling and swirl gently.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  7. Cool completely for at least two hours before slicing.
